According to the synopsis of “21 Baker Road” an original musical by, Nashvillians Jim Reyland and Addison Gore, the main character Charlie Brigade, “falls from the only thing he’s ever loved, his house. He wakes up somewhere between here and there.”

Nashville, TN, February 11, 2008— According to the synopsis of “21 Baker Road” an original musical by, Nashvillians Jim Reyland and Addison Gore, the main character Charlie Brigade, “falls from the only thing he’s ever loved, his house. He wakes up somewhere between here and there.”

Directed by Barry Scott, for one night only, March 1st at 7:30pm in the Bill and Carole Troutt Theater on the campus of Belmont University. Writer’s Stage, Nashville’s NewVoices theatre company presents a concert performance and stage reading of ’21 Baker Road’. An audience talkback will follow.

The concert performance of ‘21 Baker Road’ by Jim Reyland and Addison Gore incorporates Nashville stage veterans and members of the Belmont University Music Theater department, brought together by one of Nashville’s finest theatre artist, director, Barry Scott.

“It’s a wonderful story that is really funny. And the music; the music is beautiful. I’m excited by what we have here” Barry Scott, Director.

A limited number of tickets are available for $10 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster, online or at 255-9600 or at the Belmont ticket office at 615-460-8500 or at the door. ‘21 Baker Road’ is a “family musical” suitable for all ages.

The performance shifts to the local airwaves when members of the cast will also perform selections from ‘21 Baker Road,’ Live in Studio C, Tuesday February 26th at 11:30am on Nashville Public Radio 90.3 WPLN with Will Griffin...

Playwrights in the Nashville area have made significant strides in the last decade. None have been more prolific than Reyland with his nationally recognized play, “Shelter” performed recently at venues in Nashville and chosen “Best of Nashville by the Scene.

Addison Gore’s Skedaddle Music & Publishing has been developing original music for publishers, playwrights, lyricists, advertisements, and video animations for nearly two decades.
